pluck! The Affrilachian Journal of Arts & Culture

pluck! takes its name from a Nikky Finney poem of the same title which appeared in RICE, features poetry, prose, and visual art from writers who identify with the multicultural experience based in the Appalachian region. The journal debuted in the Spring of 2007 and is currently released twice a year through the University of Kentucky.

We ask that potential contributors please read at least one issue of our journal before submitting their work so they can get a feel for the material we accept. Normal response time can range from 6-12 weeks.
